Dell Inspiron Laptop CMOS battery replacement:

Models: 1525 and many others.

When Dell designed the 1525 (maybe even all the 1500 series notebook), they decided to place the CMOS (CR-2032) coin battery in a place on the motherboard that requires a complete disassembly of the notebook to replace the battery.

CMOS battery life on the 1525 appears to be less than 6 months after the first battery is replaced.

Here is my solution; move the CMOS battery socket to the back panel for easy replacement.
